Table Tennis Section Report for 2019

The Table Tennis Section has had a fairly successful year.

In the Blackpool League the First Team were fourth in the Premier Division (same as the previous season), with Jon Ash third in the Roll of Honour.

The A Team were eighth in the Premier Division, with Marcus Judge ninth in the Roll of Honour.
The B Team were
ninth in the First Division.
The C Team were ninth in the Second Division (an improvement from the previous season) - Still room for improvement.

In the Divisional Team Cup Competitions the Mythop First Team were runners-up in the Premier Division's Gazette Cup. In the Handicap Cup the Mythop 'B' Team won their Second Round match by one point and went on to be the runners-up.
In the Closed and Handicap Championships, Jon Ash won the Men's Singles (second year running), Willy Fluss & Andy Packford won the Men's Doubles, Tamar Packford won the Women's Singles (second year running), and Tamar Packford & Andy Packford won the Mixed Doubles.

In the Lancashire and Cheshire League the Blackpool Veterans Second Team, for which Tim Young and Ron Carroll played, were
third in Division 2.

In the Lytham St. Annes League the Mythop Eagles were third, finishing the season with the same number of points as the runners-up but having lost one more game, with John Schofield ninth in the Roll of Honour.
